I am feeling a little rundown today. I hope this is not the prelude to some kind of illness. I even left work early to take a nap but I didn't feel any better afterward. I cheated and we had boring pasta for dinner. I did not have the energy for anything more creative. It was going to be mac and cheese but when I went to get the box from the pantry we were out. No comfort food for me. I am beyond relieved tomorrow is Friday. This week has felt endless and maybe because of some post grant slump. I always feel that way after completing something I worked on for months. All your hard work goes off into digital oblivion and you don't hear anything back for months.
Jeff and I went to the movies last night. He was in the mood for something mainstream so we went to the regular theater. We were early so we shot some zombies for a while and then went to see Zach & Miri. We actually had trouble finding which one it was playing in because there is usually a sign telling you what is down each hallway. We finally found the right theater number and the sign outside was blank. That is when I got it. They didn't put up the sign that must have come from the distributor. I am guessing because it has the word "porno" in it. And we're not the only place. I totally get why it was rated NC-17 at first.
My furniture order arrived today. Jeff has already assembled the coffee table and it looks perfect in there. I can not believe Thanksgiving is next week. We haven't even talked menu yet. And the turkey will be ready tomorrow. I just can't remember if I am supposed to pick it up before or after noon. Either way I'd better clear a space for it.

I got inspired by the Fo*d and W*ne for this month and am doing the Thanksgiving menu that was featured in there - it's Latin-influenced and sounded really good. (I'm doing it tomorrow since we will be in N.O. for Thanksgiving with my soon to be sister-in-law's family). I decided to do it because our friends parents are over visiting and their British, so this is new. This will be the second year in a row that I will have Thanksgiving dinner with them. It's odd - aside from the two boys (who are dual citizens) and I'll be the only "full" American.
