We had a nice breakfast this morning with Tom's parents before they left. The kids were good, Harper was only mildly fussy due to being tired and the food was good even though we had never been there before. We don't usually go out for breakfast because Jeff likes to make a spread himself. After they left we had a couple hours to play before my parents came up with brother, SIL and two nieces. They are visiting from VA for the week. The kids are at the age where they can all play together which left us time to visit. And my dad showed up with a trailer so they got the rest of the stuff out of the basement to take to their new house in Maine. We have so much space down there. I am sure the edges of crap will creep up and fill it in in no time. We had a nice long visit because we won't see them again until Thursday. Since we aren't off from school or work they will be amusing themselves elsewhere. Guess who gets to unload everything on the other side in Maine? Jeff showed up from dropping off Isabelle just as they were leaving. I helped him get the boys ready for bed before I made my escape. A friend had invited me out last week and we set it for tonight. She is a single mom so she booked a babysitter. It was the first time she had been out since August! And the bonus was she had a gift card burning a hole in her pocket. So I got a great night and it was free. I did contribute the free appetizer coupon I got from the local high school football booster sale. So I wasn't a total parasite. And I picked her up. We had a nice meal and a good uninterrupted by children talk. I had an eco-friendly cosmo which kept me so toasty I didn't feel the 19 degrees when we walked back to the car. I am as ready for the week as I ever will be.
