Your Suggestions

I know it is late notice but does anyone have any book recommendations? I am going shopping at lunch so I have something to take on my trip tomorrow. I will have lots of uninterrupted reading on the plane and in the airport so something involved is good. But nothing that will make me cry because my fellow passengers will think I am a freak.

Hi Alisa,

I'm reading "When You Are Engulfed In Flames" by David Sedaris - don't know if you're a fan, but, it is laugh out loud. All the chapters are essays, so it's easy to put down and pick up. If you like him, i would highly recommend - particularly when traveling, as a lot of the stories involve travel.
The last book I read was highly involving - hard to put down - "The Mistress of the Art of Death" by Arianna Franklin (http://www.amazon.com/Mistress-Art-Death-Ariana-Franklin/dp/0399154140). Fascinating. I loved it.
Hope this helps!
Save travels,
kath

Not sure if you read The Double Bind by Bohjalian but that was excellent. It combines current day Vermont with Long Island set against the Great Gatsby. Really interesting. I'm now reading an older book of his, Water Witches which is also really good.

I'm so lame. I'm reading Twilight now and LOVING it. Sure, it's high school reading, but it's really good, easy, fun stuff!
