Isabelle's birthday was yesterday. It was the first time in three years Jeff has been able to be with her on the actual day. So we did a weekend long celebration. On Saturday we went miniature golfing. I had to drop out halfway to feed Harper. Sunday Isabelle picked the activity so we went to Clark's to see the bear show and the circus and ride the train. It was our first time going and it was very kid friendly. The circus was acrobats and jugging and amazing feats of flexibility. Two young women bent themselves and fit into the same clear plastic box. It was freaky. Harper conveniently ate during the show. Yesterday Isabelle got to pick the restaurant and we went out for dinner. I got to order an alcoholic beverage. Yum. Afterward we went home for cake and presents. As usual Jeff had been up the night before making the cake. He designed a beautiful rainbow cake with clouds and also made multicolor cupcakes with Isabelle's initial on them. Keegan and Harper gave her an art kit like a spirograph and a science kit to make crystals and fossils.
