Cooling Off

Our a/c broke earlier this week so Tuesday I got to wait at home from 10-2. Of course they came at 2. Then they figured out we needed a new blower which is the most expensive part except for completely replacing the system. Then they couldn't find the part and he was still looking for it at 4:30 when I had to get rid of him so I could pick up the kids. They are coming back today (between 12-4) to hopefully repair everything and get us back up and running. The night times have been fairly cool but the days get pretty hot. This makes for a baby who wouldn't nap long and is very unhappy about it.

Yesterday I took all three kids down to my parents' house to play in the lake. My ten year old niece is visiting from Virginia. Harper took a 4 hour nap while everyone played in the water. The kids next door came over and my mom's friend brought her granddaughter too. We had six little girls and poor Keegan. There was lots of shrieking and following each other around. He stayed on the fringe making sandcastles until towards the end of the day he joined in on the flipping each other off of rafts part. He also declared himself the official snack helper and handed out graham crackers and grapes.

I've been here since high school grad in 84, but have never gotten rid of my hatred of Virginian heat and love of all things air conditioned. Love my house, hate that they didn't build it with central AC. What were they thinking. Hate the loud window units and refuse to put them in the front windows. LOL Sounds like a great time on the lake! :)
