Report From The Field 12:35

The midwife just came in and checked Alisa. She's at 6cm and somewhere around 90% effaced so it's good to know that the right stuff is happening.

Alisa says all she's been thinking about is epidural... sweet sweet nectar of pain management. She felt she wanted to make it to around 7cm without it so the midwife is going to make the call to those people in like 10 minutes or so and all should be timed just nicely for that.

Alisa is laying on her side and likes her lower back rubbed slowly from side to side.

I was taking a few pictures of her when we first were here. She is not so interested in that now.

Yay - progress! Tell Alisa's she's doing a great job!! (And it sounds as if you are also serving as a great coach.) Also, yay for the epidural!

So exciting! Tell Alisa to hang in there, and I hope the epidural kicks in soon!
