We did end up seeing Young@Heart the other night. It was excellent. One of the best movies I have ever seen. I cried through this part and I don't think hearing some of the songs by the original artists will ever be the same for me. If you see it and ever look at senior citizens again the same way I would be surprised.
Being home without being able to do much is boring. I was all set to be bored again yesterday. But when I called the spa in the morning they had a pedicure opening for 11:45. It was really nice to be pampered and she was really careful massaging my feet. The whole "it's my due date" thing freaked her out a little. I had a lovely chat with two other customers and walked out with "Season's Screenings" on my toes. I wanted a really deep ruby red. I say a pedicure is essential labor preparation.
The other thing that happened yesterday was that a package arrived. Jeff had told me he ordered something for me last week. He is really good at keeping surprises a surprise. What was in the box? A netflix player. So I had never heard of this but apparently it is brand new. It allows you to play the netflix instant movies and shows through your TV instead of the computer. I had never used the instant feature because I don't want to be stuck sitting in front of a PC for two hours. This tiny little box was easy to setup and works great. I will probably never use amazon unbox again. I already watched a movie and a comedy special and Jeff listened to a Talking Heads concert. It doesn't cost any more than what we already pay for netflix. This is yet another reason we don't have cable.

You just may have given me the best idea for Hubby's birthday next month! We use Netflix, but he hates sitting with the laptop to watch movies online! I am going to look into that! Cool!
I got a post-due-date pedicure about 2 hours before I was admitted to the hospital. I have to say that my pedicurist as well was a little freaked out by my "I was due last week!" answer to her"when is your baby due?" question!
