Friday Keegan was supposed to go to my parents' house for the night. But my mom was feeling rundown and it was better for Keegan's recovery that he sleep at home anyway. He had returned to school but still needed extra rest. That night we took him out to Chinese but he wasn't very hungry or up for trying new things. Saturday we tried to get some things done in the morning, planned the menu for the week and made our shopping list. We went to Portsmouth to see Justin Roberts. We had bought the tickets many months ago and were really looking forward to it. Keegan and I slept while Jeff drove us through the torrential rainstorm. The concert was awesome. Keegan always gets all quiet when we are there but he did actually want to dance. Jeff took him up front where he stared at other kids and moved slightly. Afterwards Jeff went to get the car and we stood in line to talk to Justin. He is such a nice guy. He said he would come back to NE soon so the baby could hear his music out of the womb. His new album comes out April 15 and is sure to be great. We made it home through the storm again, did our shopping and had Chipotle Chicken Taco Salad (repeat).
Sunday morning Jeff went to get a Uha*l to get some things from Tom's townhouse and clear out our storage unit. I hosted a playdate which turned out to be fairly exhausting. We did have a new recipe though,White Bean and Roasted Chicken Salad which I served with roasted garlic loaf from the bakery. After our friends left Keegan took a nap and I laid down on the couch. A short time later my parents came over. They brought us the cradle they had been storing for me and a few other things and helped Jeff move Isabelle's dresser into her room. They also borrowed the video camera because they were on their way to Maine to watch the timber framing of their house be erected this week. Made perfect by my mom using the phrase, "we want to tape the big erection." Keegan and I left them behind as we traveled north for a birthday party. A party I was dreading due to the children involved but I sucked it up because Keegan really likes this kid. I survived with only a mild headache, pain in my left side and slight dizziness.
Today miraculously our couch was delivered and it actually fit down in the family room. Third time is the charm. I am excited. It may be the best night ever. And on that note I am going to go enjoy it.
