Note: I found this was more realistically four servings.

Finishing this dish with lime zest and juice brightens its rich flavors.

19 Weeks (A Day Late)

"Your baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces, and he measures 6 inches, head to bottom — about the size of a large heirloom tomato. His arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of his body now. His kidneys continue to make urine, and the hair on his scalp is sprouting. This is a crucial time for sensory development: Your baby's brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch."

Now that we know it's a boy it seems even more real.  Yes, yes being pregnant is very real.  It's just hard to grasp the whole baby coming soon thing.  Now I can try to picture another little boy.  I am dying to find out what he will look like.  What his personality will be like.  What special new facets he will bring to our family.  Keegan really wanted a girl.  So I pulled him aside privately when I picked him up from school.  I knew he would be upset for a few minutes and then be fine.  And he was.  I explained that I am not in charge of how the baby grows and we cannot change that even if we wanted to.  He can do girl stuff with Isabelle and boy stuff with this baby.  He still wants to name it Lucy and call it Bubba.  He wants me to give him this baby.  I told him we'll see how he does with the two fish he got for Christmas.  They are named Lucy and Bubba.

I feel good right now.  Just getting over a cold.  I plan on asking about migraines at my midwife appointment today and I also have a varicose vein concern. Otherwise not too many aches and pains.  I get a little winded when going up and down the stairs at clip.  My nails are growing like crazy and my hair is getting thicker.  I feel better than my first pregnancy and I can only guess that is due to weighing so much less this time.  The stress on my body is not as severe.  Then again, talk to me in a few months.
