Something I should mention about my college girlfriends. They are all extremely smart and accomplished. Perfect example, today there is an article in the NY Times which references two new studies about children with bad behavior and academic outcomes. One of the studies is being published in the journal Developmental Psychology. Guess who one of the authors is? Yup my good friend Holly! I already knew she was smart when I met her in college and she was the youngest Freshman there. Later on I got to observe her teach college statistics and she even made it so I could understand. She kind of made fun of this article as being important in a nerdy sense. But I think it is good to be reminded that your friends are real grownups with real jobs and they rock them. Lolly, I am so proud.

Aw, shucks, now I'm blushing! To be perfectly open, though, as you can see I'm one of 13 authors, so there's a lot of shared credit - and most of the actual "meat" of the article was written by the two lead authors. But thanks for the props, it's always nice to be recognized for your work! I know you could share some other stories about me which I probably wouldn't be as proud!
I forgot to mention, too - I showed this post to a co-worker just now (because I thought it was so nice) and he asked me if I ever made a big deal about having a masters degree and I said, "No because they all have masters' degrees or more as well!" A package of smart cookies!
Aw, that is so awesome. I love reading studies about children, I think they are so fascinating.
