« Oral Satisfaction | Main | Happy 32nd Birthday Jeff »

11 Weeks
Today we had our first official midwife visit.  All my bloodwork looks good and I feel really great.  We were hoping to hear the heartbeat but she tried for a long time and couldn't hear it.  She thought maybe I was not as far as long as we thought.  I was a little anxious and of course would have felt better hearing a clear sound.  She asked if we had available time today and suggested we go over for an ultrasound.  We had to waste a couple of hours until the appointment.  So we ate lunch and walked around the mall and looked at cooking stuff.  Then we headed over and were seen right away.  The tech had no problem showing us a healthy baby with a nice strong heartbeat.  167 bpm.  She also measured it and I am right on 11 weeks.  Then we got our first picture.  A really nice gift for Jeff's birthday.  So I headed north to work and he headed south to work.  Then we called eachother and he said, "How about that baby?"  I am even more excited having seen it and it feels even more real.  Oh and relieved to see only one baby in there.

So happy! I went through that 'can't hear a heartbeat, go for an u/s thing' a few weeks ago...I was at 12 weeks so it was really nerve-wracking...but such relief to see everything is well. :)
