I wonder if my desk will ever stop looking like a bomb went off. I can't remember a time since getting promoted in May 2006 when it wasn't a disaster. My house is as neat as a pin. Not my office. Actually the only part of my house that is messy is my desk at home. Must be a theme.
We took the kids to Vermont this weekend for a much anticipated concert by Justin Roberts. He is awesome. We love his music because it is good and good for adults too. If you click on the radio drawing on his site you can hear a song from each album. We own them all. I think Jeff and I might have been more excited than the kids. I was starstruck when Justin took the stage. We sang every word, danced the kids on our laps and grinned like ninnies. And I was totally a dork when we spoke with him afterwards. The kids got their ticket stubs signed, Jeff said something nice about his music and I was a stalker.
After the concert we checked into our hotel and took the kids to the Ben & Jerry's factory tour. Filled up with ice cream samples we swam in the hotel pool (I watched because there were way too many urchins for my taste) and then had dinner. The next morning we took the kids to the park by Lake Champlain and walked around downtown Burlington. We had hot chocolate from here on the ride home and then went to a farm back in NH to pick out our pumpkins.
The weather is finally seasonally appropriate so I need to haul out my stored clothing. And figure out what does and doesn't fit the kids and buy stuff to fill in the gaps. Should be easier because we are emptying the garage into a storage unit. The negotiations on our house ended last week after my return from South Carolina. Their counter offer was not even feasible without my using copious amounts of crack. Clearly not people who could afford our home and were in complete denial about what things are truly worth even in this market. So we are making the best of the current situation. Hopefully in the Spring we'll sell and find one of the houses we looked at recently still on the market.
PS I don't know if my comments have been fixed yet. Bear with us while we complete the server move and upgrade.

I miss Burlington so much! Used to go there a lot when I went to college in Plattsburgh-across Lake Champlain. One of my favorite places to visit. Haven't been there in quite a long time, though...probably 7-8 years!
