You Sure Know How To Pick'em

The next great plan by realtor was to hold a joint open house with the other five porperties on the market in my neighborhood. It sounded like a good idea. Except that noone came. Well a guy came by mine and asked if we would rent. The answer is "no." So that is a snapshot of the market we live in. Oh and the couple that has said four times this week that they are going into their realtor's office to make an offer on my house. It hasn't happened yet. Their realtor is so fed up that she has decided to no longer work with them. During the time we thought we would get an offer I looked at houses for us. Of course there are a bunch. A bunch of beautiful, lovely restored Victorians with just the right amount of space in the neighborhoods we want to live in. Oh and totally in our price range. How's that for a kick in the head? I know, I know the right house will be there at the right time and everything will work out the way it is supposed to blah, blah, blah.
Nothing left to do but enjoy the weather and beautiful autumn in New England. We took the kids to the fair yesterday. I love the sheepdog demos. And the food. Ah the fair food. I had my once yearly caramel apple and it was scrumptious. We pet cows and sheep and goats and chickens. Saw giant pumpkins and prize winning baked goods. The kids rode a couple of small rides. And we came home with an inflatable Blue's Clues and a giant green alien. I am such a sucker.
Today Keegan and I went to an orchard, went on a hayride, bought one apple (because we haven't eaten all the ones from last weekend), some apple cider and a tiny white pumpkin (because Keegan is apparently collecting tiny pumpkins). This evening we are going out to dinner with a neighbor and her little boy. We have been doing a lot of bike rides with them and she was the one who invited me to her pamp*red chef party last month. And in fact she is the woman I posted about in this entry when she was anti-UNICEF. We still laugh about our first encounter. That was before she adopted her son and we started getting our boys together.
