Finishing this dish with lime zest and juice brightens its rich flavors.

My Everything

So as it turned out I was sick the whole time in DC too. And on Tuesday when I felt better I got that husky voice part. Which is of course perfect when you are facilitating a meeting that day of 45 people from NE. At my breakfast coffee chat my colleagues gave me all kinds of teasing for my voice, accusing me of having a wild night before. I still managed to have dinner at two of my favorite restaurants and they were fabulous as always. I also had dinner with my friend Andra, her husband and their scrumptious little boy. And we did so much gabbing I didn't get back to the hotel until after 11:30pm. The return home yesterday was fine. I had time before going to the airport so I browsed a bookstore. I bought two books one about a couple who leaves their lives to buy a goat farm and make cheese (they end up in Maine) and one called Eat, Pray, Love that was recommended by Andra. I am not too far along but it is great. The perfect book for right now.
Today I took Keegan to work so I could at least catchup on email and sign any paperwork. He actually did great there and I was able to stay for almost two hours. He took home a slinky, silly putty, play dough and a bendy thing. All free gifts from co-workers as he charmed he way through the office. We went to lunch and then the library. Why do librarians still make me feel like a little kid? I finally got my own card because we always use Jeff's. At home Keegan didn't really nap but I did. He has what I have but it hasn't slowed him down one bit.
Grilled pizza for dinner tonight I think. Got to keep up the once a week tradition until the weather turn against us and we have to go back to takeout. Jeff made homemade sauce while I was gone and there is a whole box of beautiful mushrooms that must be had.
I don't need to go away to remember but, I love my husband. We have been living together for a year now and while it still feels new sometimes, it is completely right.
