Little Pleasant Bay

We had a wonderful week on vacation. The weather was awesome. Warm days, breezy and cool nights. We had a gray day on Thurs and passing t-storms on Fri but all and all I can't complain. The cottage was great and the location on the bay was quiet and beautiful. The kids ate and looked out the big picture window at the wildlife. Plus they had a yard to play in which was most helpful for maintaining sanity. We went to the beach four of the days (three different beaches), Provincetown and flew kites one day and on the rainy day (while Jeff was at work) we went to an indoor playground and then a wildlife sanctuary. It really is the perfect place for kids. No one got sunburned. Lots of sandcastles were made, tide pools explored and ice cream eaten. We took them to a drive-in movie which I haven't been to since I was a kid. Keegan has never been to the movies at all. They loved it and sat huddled in the back seat sharing popcorn, eyes glued to the screen. Too cute. For fireworks we went to the beach and sat on a blanket to watch them launch from the harbor. They are really at the age where curiousity overcomes fear. Keegan was really into the waves and running along the beach. And seashells and shark egg packets and crabs, etc. They also took 2 and 3 hour naps each day because they were non-stop movement. We returned on Saturday and decided to take it easy yesterday with just the playground and grocery shopping and even then Keegan took a two hour nap. Fortunately we still have many fun summer plans to look forward to. My brother arrives Thurs and I am taking Friday off to take Keegan to play with him at the lake.
