Chevre Noir

Last night was date night. It has been a long time since we had a grownup dinner so we decided a quiet night out was in order. Market days are going on downtown so we walked around for a half hour until our reservation at 7pm. Dinner was awesome. We had martinis and a cheese plate (which you can select from a wide range of types). Then we shared three small plate entrees. Lamb chops, sea scallops and gnocci. Jeff had a plate of three truffles and I had a frozen berry cake. It so nice to be married to a foodie like me. We tasted each other's wine and desserts and generally appreciated the quality of the food preparation and the cozy atmosphere.
Today I had to meet a contractor in Manchester. But he ended up cancelling when I was already down there. I had cleared my schedule for the afternoon so I decided not to go back to the office. How sad is it when I couldn't even get excited about shopping because I don't really need anything? Not even shoes! Pathetic. I did need some foundation from the B*dy Shop so I went to the mall. I shopped at the Childr*n's Place, Gymb*ree and G*p Kids. Some days you're just destined to walk out with several kid's bags and one tiny bag for you. Ah parenthood.
