The Spot

Nice mellow weekend with no parties or social events. Saturday Keegan helped me drop off the dogs to be groomed and they came back silky and smelling like vanilla. We also ran errands because each item we needed seemed to have to come from a totally different store. Jeff wanted to check out a shopping club so we did and decided to join. We tried not to buy too much that was ridiculously large. It will be nice to move and have more storage space as well as a freezer. We got heaps of yummies berries and cherries.
Speaking of moving, no news on that front. We had an open house on Sunday and although it was cold and rainy we had a few people come through. Since we had to be out of the house we took Keegan on a road trip. We ended up in the Lakes Region and ate our picnic we brought from home. Then we went to what claims to be the world's largest arcade. They had quite a few games and rides for kids and Keegan had a ball. He was unexplainably good at driving the bumper cars. That kid could turn on a dime. He also played two games of air hockey, one with Jeff and one with me. Then he watched from a bench as we played skeeball. I have always been terrible at it but love to play anyway. We cashed in our tickets and he got a squirt gun and hacky sack.
I have an appointment this afternoon and then I leave for Vermont. No, you don't have deja vu I did this two weeks ago too. In fact it is the same hotel. This is what happens when you don't say no and you end up on the board of directors for two non-profits. I will be back tomorrow afternoon and buried in grant writing again.
