One of my staff had a heart attack Monday night. Fortunately he went to the hospital right away. So his outcome is really good. They also said his recent lifestyle changes, adding exercise and proper diet were really helping him recover more quickly. I visited him at the hospital yesterday and today and still can't believe how good he looks.
Had my haircut and color done tonight. I am going lighter for the warmer weather. I love hanging out with my stylist for hours and reading junk magazines to catchup on celebrity gossip. I couldn't participate in some of the coversations about the latest shows. We don't have cable. And although I would like to have select shows, not having all those channels has really had a positive impact on my life. We spend our time completely differently. And I love paying my $13 network channels only bill each month.
We have another birthday party this weekend and pretty much the next three weekends too. Lots of April and May babies out there. I would definitely do a Spring baby over a Winter baby next time. Being trapped in the house with an infant is no fun.
More recipes:
Salmon on Greens with Lime-Ginger Dressing (very summery tasting and the last few years I have become simply mad about mangoes)
Spinach-and-Mushroom Lasagna (vegetarian, delicious and even the kids ate this)
Winter Vegetable Soup (vegetarian if you leave out the pancetta. Jeff hates squash but made this for me and even he liked it)

"Mad About Mangoes" was the Go-Go's best if you ask me.
