New yummy for breakfast is Silk Alive! soy smoothie. It's lighter and more protein rich than my usual smoothie (Stonyfield Farm) and I like having options.
Recipes from this week:
Garlic-Rosemary Lamb Pita (used half of leg for this recipe and then put the rest in freezer for next lamb recipe coming up)
Frogmore Stew (So easy)
Strawberry-Rhubarb Tart (I love rhubarb)
On Saturday we took Keegan to learn about how maple syrup is made. We went to a private producer who has a sugar shack in his yard and bought a pint of the syrup he made right then. Afterwards we went to a commercial operation and ate at the restaurant that is connected. French toast and pancakes of course. We stocked up on more maple syrup, maple cream and maple sugar candy. It takes 40 gallons of sap to make one gallon of syrup. No wonder the good stuff is so pricey. Keegan spent the night at my parent's house and Jeff and I went shopping and to dinner. I really wanted a pair of peek-a-boo shoes. I got an pair of brown open toed, some brown and linen mules and really hot pair of black peek-a-boos that even if they never leave my bedroom are worth every penny. I got some new Spring clothes but need some more to perk up the wardrobe. I also took Erika's Ann Taylor tip and picked up a blouse and a mocha wrap dress.
