Round Up

The girl's reunion weekend was a success. Everyone is involved in so much with building houses, changing jobs and three people planning on getting pregnant this next year. The flights on Friday actually worked out. By the time I left here it was raining which is easy to fly through. Cleveland was windy but no snow and then Dallas was lovely and warm. The sight of grass and daffodils there has gvien me hope. Friday night we had dinner at Lara's and everyone came over as they arrived. Many bottles of red wine later we went to bed around 3am. Saturday morning we ran errands and then threw a surprise baby shower for Debra who's second child is due in May. It is convenient for these occasions that our friend Angie is a professional cater. This time in addition to making personalized onesies for the coming baby, we made shirts for everyone else's kids too. Saturday evening we had a piano bar cocktail hour at Jill's (professional pianist) which was a cover for a surprise birthday celebration for Angie. We couldn't have her cater her own party so Holly stepped in with delicious appetizers. After that we headed for tex mex and during dinner surprised Lara with going away gifts. She has given her notice at work and is putting her house on the market in a few weeks as she prepares to move to Europe in May. I bailed out after one bar while some of the group went on to another and even so I didn't get to bed until after 1:30am. I flew home yesterday and those flights were also uneventful. Jeff and Keegan picked me up at the airport and we had dinner out. I was very happy to fall asleep in Jeff's arms last night and then wake up this morning to Keegan coming in to snuggle after Jeff got up.
