I am back from MD and back in the office. One of the conference days went from 8am to 9pm which is cruel and unusual punishment. I had such a lovely welcome home last night and then this morning from the kids. I am still battling a cold and tired and would have taken today off if I didn't have a grant due. The grant is done but the submission system is possessed because of daylight savings time and I am not amused. It might take me until the 8pm deadline to figure it out.
We were supposed to head to NY tonight to visit Jeff's mom but the weather is not cooperating. We decided to reschedule rather than face the impending winter storm on the roads. I am hoping a low-key weekend is on tap.
While I was gone we got an answer back on our offer on the house we saw this past weekend. We came to an agreement but it is contingent on selling my house which means it will still be shown and other people could make competing offers. So we're excited but cautious. Not that it keeps me from mentally decorating each of the rooms. More on the house details later.
