You should only be able to panic about a snowstorm if you don't live in a place where they are expected. You should see the hoopla here. Meetings are being cancelled all over the place. We'll see what tomorrow brings.
Today at lunch I bought myself some white gold and diamond earrings. Just because. Back in November my jeweler had sent me two hundred dollars to spend in his store before 2/14. I augmented it with my birthday and christmas money to buy something that I will really enjoy. They are both simple enough for everyday and elegant enough for special occasions. And they have absolutely nothing to do with Valentine's Day. Which by the way we help the kids celebrate but not each other because it seems so fake and contrived. I am lucky enough to feel loved and appreciated and celebrated every day.
