Busy at work, at home, buying a house, selling a house. Convinced that something in the universe wants to take away everything I had left of Tom. No tragedies, just a series of challenges and unfortunate events. Good things still abound though too. I think that is balance.
We met with a trust attorney to make a plan for any future events. I feel more secure already. I would never leave behind the ordeal of probate for someone I loved.
Celebrated Mardi Gras on Sunday at the Reilly's and Tuesday with a potluck at work. We made Lemonade Layer Cake for Sunday and put a baby in it and purple, green and gold sprinkles on top. For work I used Holly's recipe for King Cake. It took three hours to make and was a beast but delicious and worth it.
Last Thursday was Selfish Mom's and we changed the format by meeting at a paint your own pottery place instead of someone's home. It was fun and relaxing and I can't wait to pick up Keegan's piggy bank that I made.
Got this super cute just because gift from Erika.

Lemonade Layer cake? Sounds great, hope you post the recipe.
clearly I should be a closer reader. The recipe looks great, too bad I gave up sweets for lent. Looks like I'll add it to the list for my post-Easter feast of candy and donuts!
