Well so far the hype has been true. It is snowing. A lot. But I am here at the office at least until the afternoon and Jeff is working from home. That is because my commute is normally five minutes and his is over an hour. I will stay until lunch and then head home in case it changes to ice as they have been warning. Although the parking lot is half full, my section of the building is totally quiet. Two of my staff are also here. And the phones aren't ringing at all. It is weird. I have plenty to do but am having trouble focusing. I think I have gotten used to the constant buzz of phones, chatter and occupancy. Now it is hard to work without it. I have been working on my application though.
After much back and forth and discussion with family, friends and mentors I have decided not to attend Harvard again this summer. Instead I am applying to a two-week program at UCLA. It is an excellent opportunity and I finally have the credentials to qualify for applying.
