I don't intentionally not blog on the weekends, I just run out of time. Well I'd rather be spending it doing something else I guess. Friday night we took the kids out and even though the wait was longer than we were told, we all survived. I like that place because they have healthy side dish choices for the kids. Saturday we had another birthday party in what feels like a season of them. That evening Erika, Jay and Sammy came over for gift exchange. Erika made the kids personalized aprons for playing in their kitchen. Jeff made Sammy a matching screen printed shirt like the kids were wearing that day. Now they are all members of the panda gang. We picked up Chinese/Japanese food which meant happy Erika with sushi and happy us with leftovers. Sunday we went to the aquarium with friends and their 20 month old. I forget sometimes how much easier older kids are to handle in public places. Isabelle and Jeff went to every display while Keegan focused in on jelly fish and penguins. Oh and he loves when the scuba diver is in the tank. He calls him "scary guy" which is his nickname for my brother Scott. Keegan started calling Scott scary guy when we were in St. Croix and Scott would swim in the pool with his mask and snorkel. It is an affectionate term and Keegan calls him "my scary guy" when referring to gifts he has gotten or when he asks about him. I wonder if the name will stick for the ages. After Jeff dropped off Isabelle we made up the week's menu and went grocery shopping. Jeff has some work social events this week and I have Selfish Mom's but I wanted to make sure we still had yummy dinners even though the other one wouldn't be around.
