« Penne with Brussels Sprouts and Crisp Bacon | Main | Border-Style Shrimp »

I had to take a nap between work and the kids getting home last night. How come kids always seem to weather colds so much better than adults? I think the extra sleep is the key. I was hopefully useful last night but Jeff did most of the dinner making. I came in on the tailend of cooking the Border-Style Shrimp. The sauteing is always my favorite part anyway. After the kids went to bed we made a strawberry pie which is definitely not Cooking Light. But we have a bunch of frozen strawberries to use up. It had to freeze for four hours so we haven't tried it yet. I'm thinking anything that has a toasted coconut crust and involves condensed milk has to be good. Tonight I am going out to dinner with some contractors that are in visiting from MN. They are here to train the person who now has my job but I knew them from before and want to show them the town. After dinner I am heading right home so I can keep fighting this cold.
