Ever After

The wedding celebration is over. I love that it lasted two weeks. We had our party here in NH on Saturday. Friday night I went out for tapas and tinis (not topless martinis as my co-worker thought I said) with Erika, Erica, Angie, Andra and Holly. My fabulous college friends and my best friend all together. We had lots to eat, drink and talk and I arrived home near 1am. Saturday morning the kids were up around 6:30 as usual. My SIL Barb (the bracelet I am wearing in my wedding pics is her's) had driven up from PA with her SIL Jackie and they came over to see us and play with the kids. Then they came along with me to get my hair done and we all went down to the party together. The party was at the beautiful Bedford Village Inn and ran from 11 to 4. Friends and family came from near and far and it truly was our thank you party for everyone who has loved and supported us this past year and a half. The only bump was when we couldn't play the wedding video of the vows due to interference to the video signal. But we plan to post it and the rest of the pictures and we will let people know the web address. The food was great, the band was awesome and we had so much fun. We had three cakes made by the place where we had gone during our first date. I surprised Jeff with another cake so we could all celebrate his birthday coming up this Wed. It was a small enough party that I got to visit with everyone. And of course my Louisiana college friends worked the dance floor until the very end. Then we packed up the car and the kids and headed home. After we put them to bed we opened some gifts and cards and around 7:30 Andra, her husband Greg, their baby Ben, Holly and Angie showed up with red wine and we ordered pizza. We spent the rest of the evening talking and laughing and they saw the wedding video and more pictures.
The next day we went down to my parents for brunch with some of my family that had come. Then while the kids napped we visited with family and after they left we had some nice quiet time to relax.

So glad you guys had a terrific time. I still have a gift certificate to the BVI that my folks gave us for our tenth wedding anniversary. It's a weekend package with dinner and breakfast included with one of the suites. We may go at Christmas when it is magical. Although I am sure it was magical this weekend! :)
