Curried Beef Short Ribs

Note: I found this was more realistically four servings.

Finishing this dish with lime zest and juice brightens its rich flavors.

Short Week

I took today off because Keegan's school was closed again and Jeff also has Isabelle. It definitely took two parents to come up with rainy day fun. So it feels like a Sunday for me.
Saturday we did stuff around the house and then took Keegan to my mom's. She wanted to keep him overnight so we went out with my cousin and her boyfriend to celebrate their one year dating anniversary. I chowed down on calamari which is what this place is famous for. That worked out so that I got to take my leftover lobster ravioli home. We had even saved room by having big salads for lunch because we have so many veggies from the CSA.
Sunday morning Jeff left at 7 to head back to Maine to take care of the house, lawn and cats. I slept later and went down to have brunch with my parents and brought Keegan home. He ended up sleeping for over 3 hours which is very unusual for him. I napped for two which is unheard of for me. I guess we both needed it. Tom came by to pickup the dogs. Jeff and Isabelle got home in time for bed.
This morning we played at home until the rain stopped and then got them out to the playground and walked around the pond. After stopping by the grocery store we saw the oscar m*yer weinermobile and they were having tryouts. Neither kid knows the song so we just took a picture with our phone like everyone else there. Tonight was parent orientation at school and then it was home for bath and bed. Jeff left to go running a while ago and I am not sure how far he was planning to go.
The house went on the market this weekend. We go in next weekend to start making our selections on the new one. I talked to my mortgage broker Friday and he said my credit report was downright un-American. I only have two debt lines, the mortgage and a credit card. I apologized to him and said I was addicted to the feeling of being financially sound. Although that will take a beating with all the wedding expenses!
