Back from MN or "Wendyland" as I like to call it. Alas we were not able to meet up. She is one hard working gal despite what she says to the contrary. And she is in training for the 3 Day.
The conference was good, fairly small when they do just one group of grantees and I like it better for networking that way. My favorite presentations were from people involved with hurricanes Katrina and Rita. The first person accounts from both a hospital and EMS perspective were fascinating. We had a reception the first night at a brewery so clearly they are my kind of people. The second night it was at a boathouse on the Mississippi and then some of us New Englanders went for Italian. They had the best dessert there of carmelized pineapple and cinnamon ice cream.
I arrived home at 10:45 last night and then back to work today. This evening we went to family fun night at Keegan's daycare. Both kids had a great time in the bouncy house and playing games for tickets to redeem for prizes. Isabelle will also be going to daycare there in a few weeks so it was nice for her to get a chance to play there. She and Jeff are going by tomorrow for the tour of her classroom.

Alisa. 37. New Hampshire. Married for two years to this wonderful, funny, smart guy. Previously married. Went through in-vitro fertilization to have my four and a half year old magical son Keegan. Stepmother to the charming Isabelle (5). Gushingly in love with our baby boy Harper(born June 10). Policy Wonk and dreaded bureaucrat. Lover of fine cuisine, honeybees, truly romantic moments and the underdog.
