I am back from CT. I have to tell you that the almost 3 hour drive is worth it when you arrive here. And because I have a great secretary I got this beautiful dormered top floor room with a full view of the water. After the meetings some of us went out for lobster (my first of the season). It was one of those outdoor eat at a picnic table places. Besides lobster I shared an appetizer fruit, cheese, veggie plate and a bowl of steamers. Ice cream for dessert of course. The meetings today wrapped up by 12:30 so I was able to get home and pick up Keegan early. Jeff and Isabelle are on their way and we're taking the kids out for dinner tonight. I am kind of tired of eating out but we are eating in tomorrow because we are having friends over for a playdate.

Stepmother to the charming Isabelle (6). Gushingly in love with our baby boy Harper(1). Policy Wonk and dreaded bureaucrat. Lover of fine cuisine, honeybees, truly romantic moments and the underdog.

There is something magical about the coast of Connecticut. We have our coast here, and I love it, but CT is so old school...grandeur.
I haven't had my first lobster yet. I can't wait though. Seven more school days. Maybe that's how I will celebrate. I will treat myself and head to the lobster pound I frequent in Hampton. :) Welcome back!
