Last night Keegan took a picture of Isabelle to bed with him. Think he misses her? He eagerly asks if they are coming each day when I pick him from daycare. I try to explain about Friday but it seems too far off for him.
He is feeling some what better. No fever but still the constant runny nose and chunky cough. He was quite a grump tonight and I had to take away books because he was out of control in the bathtub. He was quite disappointed to be limited to two but hopefully he'll think it through next time. My mistake is always forgetting that he is much smarter and more in control of his behavior than he lets on.
He has started asking to drink from a regular cup at mealtimes and as long as he focuses he does pretty well with it. I wish I could figure why he insists on eating ice cream using his hand. I think he picks it up and places it on the spoon. I also wish I could figure out why he'll eat almost anything I pack in his lunch but won't eat the same things at home. Peer pressure?
Returning to work wasn't too bad and the day flew by based on trying to answer emails alone. I had a conference call today to prep for my trip to Reno next week. I wanted to find out what exactly my moderator duties will entail. I am looking forward to the conference but dreading the flight. I couldn't hardly stand being on the plane for four hours this past week (despite the movie being "Chronicles of Narnia"). Plus I won't have Jeff doing crossword puzzles next me allowing me to butt in with the sometimes incorrect answers. Now I'll be stuck for seven hours after I pass through Chicago on the way. If only I still worked for a fat government contractor and I could fly business class. Sleep easy knowing your tax dollars will have me wedged in between two other people existing on half a can of coke and some peanuts. Maybe I can pack a picnic in the Chicago airport that will last me. The good news being I have plenty of time to read. The added bonus of all of these trips is rediscovering my love of reading. My friend Holly has promised to send me some of her castoffs.

Curried Beef Short Ribs
Note: I found this was more realistically four servings.
Finishing this dish with lime zest and juice brightens its rich flavors.
Yield 6 servings (serving size: about 3 ounces ribs, 2/3 cup rice, and about 2 1/2 tablespoons sauce)
2 teaspoons canola oil

You need layovers in Indianapolis! Chicago is like 3 hours away, I could never get up there to meet you/ waste some of your time.
Indianapolis is completely doable though! ;)
Magdalena has to be reminded sometimes to use her utensils, even though she asks for them at each meal. heh. And she loves drinking out of a "real" cup.
I work for a fat consulting firm and never get to fly business class. Coach all the way. Ugh.
Hey - which Chicago airport are you going through? Midway, although sucking somewhat in terms of flights/security lines - has the one benefit of having a Potbelly sandwich shop. Everytime I fly out of Midway I get a Potbelly to take on the plane - yum! O'Hare has some pretty decent stuff, but it depends on what terminal you're in. Books should go in the mail tomorrow!
