Champagne Taste

That is the quote on my takeout box from dinner Sat night. I am eating leftovers for lunch and they are every bit as delicious today. Jeff and I went to Cotton in Manchester to celebrate my getting into Harvard. It was our first time there and we will definitely being going back. Martini sampler, butternut squash ravioli, a lovely Shiraz, almond-crusted turkey schnitzel, strawberries with cream and Grand Marnier wrapped in phyllo dough, and a couple of bites of Jeff's toffee crunch cheesecake. And champagne of course. A really extraordinary evening and a perfect excuse to wear my new "little black dress."
Sunday we went down to Erika and Jay's for a small gathering and kick off to the grilling out season. Sammy was in fine form. Lots of yummy food and things I don't normally chow down on (ie. chips and chips and party mix).
My neighbor returned from her vacation last night. How do I know? She left behind one very large and very lonely bull mastiff. Poor pup.
