Curried Beef Short Ribs

Note: I found this was more realistically four servings.

Finishing this dish with lime zest and juice brightens its rich flavors.

The Scoop

I am stealing Erika's format.

Unhappy Alisa: Keegan woke up screaming last night not once, not twice but three times. He has had some trouble sleeping at both houses this week. No other symptoms. Perplexing.

Happy Alisa: He was in a great mood after filling his belly with breakfast and was positively giddy in the car and when I dropped him at school.

Unhappy Alisa: There is some kind of two day training for what looks like the entire transportation staff. So the limited parking is even more limited. I walked in from the equivalent of home practically and along the way saw some jack*ss who parked his state vehicle taking up four spots.

Happy Alisa: At weigh in yesterday I had lost 3 pounds. The night before when I went shopping I got an awesome pair of jeans and more pants. All in the next smaller size!

Unhappy Alisa: Whiny co-worker who complains about being in a bad mood. She states that she is emotionally tired probably due to stress from finances. Then she proposes taking the day off and going shopping to make herself feel better. Huh? I didn't even comment on how much sense that makes. This is the same woman who is trying to lose weight for her wedding but has food references on her screensaver and a calendar above her desk with pictures of food. How do you support someone who sets themself up to fail?

Happy Alisa: Jeff and I have booked our vacation. It is the first real vacation I have had in years. It is a tropical island, we're staying at a place with a private pool and we're planning on going scuba diving (first time for him, first time in forever for me). Now I just have to survive until April.

Unhappy Alisa: Work still killing me. Hence the procrastination technique of posting here.

Happy Alisa: Jeff comes down tonight and we're going out to dinner for our anniversary.
