Note: I found this was more realistically four servings.

Finishing this dish with lime zest and juice brightens its rich flavors.

Delicious Fuzzy Friends

Birthday week continues. There have been a few bumps in the road (I'll discuss next week) but otherwise a truly nice week. Jeff came down to take me out last night. We went to this little place downtown with great atmosphere. We both love cheese so of course we started with the fruit and cheese plate, aged gouda, cashel blue and delice du bourgogne. It was a small plate dinner whcih means not the ridiculous portions Americans have become accustomed to. We ordered three entrees to share but really after all of that cheese we could have trimmed it down to two. They were all delicious. Rabbit, lamb and wolfish, yum. Our waiter looked like Tom Green and after everything we said he replied, "Outstanding!" I felt like I was trapped in a SNL skit. But he did allow us to taste the wine before we ordered any so that worked out. We didn't get dessert because Jeff had something for me at home (cheesecake). My mom watched Keegan for me so we headed home to relieve her of duty. Never did end up eating that cheesecake though. Now I have two pieces and a bottle of strawberry syrup all to myself.
