Wait A Minute Mr. Postman

One more of those surprise hurts. I opened four birthday cards today. I cried. Three of them are from my former spouse's family. I cried because his aunt and uncle remembered. I cried because his parents think of me often and hope I am doing well. I cried because his sister and I remain friends through this and will always be sisters. I cried for all the things that were and will never be. Even when it's over, it's not over.
I turn 34 on Tuesday. I never mind birthdays, I don't have a problem with getting older. This is the first birthday single. I'm not sure how that is going to feel.

I went through the same feelings yesterday decorating my townhouse for Christmas, with "our" Christmas decorations. When you think you are doing better, things sometimes sneak up. I know what you are feeling. Can't wait to see you soon!!! Any ideas for me for X-mas????
Love you!!!!!!

*hug* I know it must be sad, but at the same time, how sweet of them to remember your birthday...it's nice that there's no animosity there between you and the ex inlaws...more families could learn from the example you set. Keegan will learn from watching how respectfully you all continue to interact.

And happy birthday a day early...

Thankfully you have Jeff. ;-) I spent a full year of birthday's and holidays alone and it was hard but it makes the birthdays and holidays that I have now together with Dee all that more special. Happy Birthday!

But, you really aren't single...remember that. You've got a ton of friends too. You are never alone...(isn't that a song??)
