Rain Again

Saturday morning I left around 6:45 to head to an EMS conference up north. Afterwards I headed across to Jeff's. The drive was nice despite the rain because the foliage is at peak. I have always loved Fall up here. We cooked World's Greatest Chicken Nachos for supper. Don't be weirded out because they have raisins in them, they were truly delish. We split a brownie with butterscotch chips and pecans ice cream sundae for dessert. I left the rest of those brownies behind for him to finish.

I left this morning to head back home and ended up being routed through Portland because the highway was shutdown on both sides. Then I was stuck on the highway in NH when an accident shutdown the north bound side. I managed to only be a couple of minutes late meeting my parents. I took them to a barbershop harmony concert. It's my dad's 60th birthday and their 40th wedding anniversary. The concert was great and they both really enjoyed the performances. Then we headed down to pickup Keegan to go out to dinner. We went to Ou*tback since it's kid friendly but not slumming it. At dinner I gave them the gift from my brothers, SIL and the grandkids. We got them a hot air balloon ride from the company that actually goes by their house and dips the basket in their lake. My mom has been talking about it for years and now they finally have the incentive to go. They were tickled with that.
We headed back home with dad's balloons from his office party mom threw him. Keegan is crazy for balloons. He tried to go to sleep clutching them but I explained it was a choking hazard. He was content to let them float over him instead. My evening looks full of laundry and hopefully taking a break to just sit still.
