Saturday Keegan went to my parents while I attended my mandatory child impact seminar. Four hours in a small room with fourteen other people facing the worst time in their lives. Good times.
When I got to my parents' Keegan was down for his nap (miracle) and he slept almost three hours. When he woke up we went for the boat ride my dad promised him earlier. He doesn't fight the life jacket anymore and he even kept his hood up since it was overcast and chilly. Then I dropped him at Tom's. I was supposed to do dinner and a movie with my friend Erica but she called me to cancel due to illness. So I amused myself otherwise.
Sunday night I spent here. It is a lovely resort even if it does remind me of "The Shining." I had an early morning meeting up in the mountains yesterday and therefore had to stay over the night before. The Governor and his wife actually came into my meeting to say, "hi." My boss and I were specifically recognized as having made contributions to the collaborative relationship with the association. So that was pretty cool. I headed back home and took a nap. I was up late the night before playing in the Texas hold'em tournament. It was fun but it would have helped if I knew how to play poker, at all. I got a free cowboy hat and sunglasses out of the deal. I'll have to work on my skills for next year.
