When I die, I want to die like my grandfather - who died peacefully in his sleep. Not screaming like all the passengers in his car.

Because I am one of those people who likes a plan, I have started to restructure what I want my future to look like. I don't have any concrete ideas on what exactly I will be doing or where I'll be. I can tell you that I will be in New England. This is the only place that has ever felt like home and it was instantaneous when I moved here 8 years ago. I love what I am doing now so I'm going to stick with this job as long as it keeps challenging me and providing me with opportunities to grow. But it is important to have things to look forward to, dreams to pursue, goals to reach for.
1. In two years I want to go to Tuscany. This is a recent idea but I feel strongly about it.
2. In five years I want to seriously consider a PhD in Public Policy. At that time I will decide to go ahead and pursue it or not.
3. In ten years I want to take Keegan to Vietnam and Cambodia. I am hoping by that time my dad will consent to go with us. I told him to think it over.
4. In seventeen years I want to have enough money set aside to give to Keegan for a backpacking trip for his high school graduation present. I want him to have the opportunity to travel and explore.
This list will continue to grow I hope and shrink as I cross off accomplishments.
