I leave tomorrow for a conference in DC. I will be away for nine days which is the longest I have ever been separated from Keegan. In fact it will actually be eleven days because Tom is taking him down to see the folks in PA and they won't be back until after I return. Wah. Do you know how much a toddler can change in that time? I will miss all sorts of cool stuff.
I was originally going to take him to Tom's tonight so I'd have time tomorrow morning before my flight. But I want to spend every last minute I can with him. My mom is even going to bring him to say goodbye at the airport. Then he'll play at the lake until Tom picks him up and have a great week of fun with dad. I know he probably won't be aware of the actual amount of time we'll be separated. But I've been thinking about it ever since I was scheduled for this trip months ago.
So when we get back together we'll have to tell eachother about our adventures. He with his travels to PA and me in the nation's capital.
