I love summer weekends. I love all of the seasons but something about summer weekends are so free and youthful.
Went to the Sox/Yankees game Fri. night and it was perfect all around. The weather was amazing, the fans were hilarious and the Sox played well. Sat I ran errands and that night I ate half a box of Hot Tamales and cried my way through "Hotel Rwanda." Sun I went back to a place where I had put furniture on hold, with Keegan and my mom to get another opinion. Keegan has a very good eye for antiques. I got the thumbs up from both of my advisors. My new bookshelves, sideboard and desk are being delivered this morning. Sun afternoon I capnapped under the red maple while my mom and Keegan made sand cupcakes on the beach. When my mom went in the lake to cool off Keegan followed her on his own. It's the first time he hasn't been put off by the waves. Mom came back home with us for dinner and to help me rearrange furniture, finish putting the baby proofing on the cabinets and to figure what to make out of the turnips I got in my last two CSA pickups.
PS Spicy-sweet turnips. I'd add more brown sugar next time cause those turnips were naturally peppery.

We went to a Tiger/Royals game on Saturday and it was fun. They have an 1/2 long fireworks display right after the game. Sounds like you are settling in nicely at your new home.
