Random moments from my move:
Thursday eve. Tom stopped by my parents' house where Keegan and I were staying. When he was leaving he hugged me and told me that he would miss me. I said that I would miss him too and choked back tears. After he left I realized that it was the first time I'd felt his arms around me in atleast a year.
Standing in the kitchen of your new home while your parents and friends help you unpack. Trying to decide how to organize your cabinets, your closets, your life.
Having to call information to figure out where the Home Depot is in your new town.
Realizing that this is the first time in your life you've ever lived alone. No roommates, nobody to assure that the doors are truly locked. I will feel better when the two units on my left are occupied.
It is really weird to ring the doorbell of your husband's new house in order to pick up your son. And then to answer the doorbell of your new house for your husband to transport your son to daycare this morning.
Having trash pickup for the first time in eight years. Apparently it is on Mondays.
More updates tomorrow but I am totally swamped catching up on work and I don't have a computer at home right now.
