Finishing this dish with lime zest and juice brightens its rich flavors.

Warm Gulf Wind

Okay now I am going to take some of my lunch break to update. I know that people do read this blog but I didn't expect to get emails prodding me to update. You know who you are. ;)

On Sat. Keegan and I went down to Erica S.'s new house in Medford. It is beautful and has all this wonderful woodwork. Keegan tried to play with their new dogs. However they are rescued strays so they weren't quite up to being mauled by a toddler. Some other time I'm sure. Keegan oddly decided he didn't want any of his lunch but he did nibble the edges of bread from my gyro.

Sat. evening I got a call from our real estate agent and we got an offer on the house!! Yay!! Tom and I head down to the office tonight to sign the contract. If all goes well I will be in my new house in the beginning of June.

Sun. I met Erin for lunch in Lowell. The original plan included paint your own pottery but we ran out of time. I need to keep my yap shut long enough to order in restaurants. I also got a tour of her new home. It's a beautiful historic place in this lovely neighborhood. I get so excited for people who have new houses. It was fun to chat with her in person after only having met her once before and then read her blog all this time.

I was even lucky enough to squeeze in a quick visit with Erika. She was knee deep in grading papers. I just can't wait for her school year to end so she can get a chance to recharge.

Later at the grocery store I experienced a weird phenomenon. Men openly meeting my eyes and then smiling at me. This happened two times while shopping and then a guy struck up a conversation with me in line. I don't know if I am putting off some kind of vibe. Maybe they were all just being nice. Either way this is a good indication that the pickings must be slim in S. NH. I am not saying I'm not pretty but I am not "men notice me right off the bat pretty." I even had Keegan with me. The only other time this has happened in recent years is when I was pregnant. That was kind of creepy.
