Holy smokes have I been busy. I have work stuff, house stuff and family stuff all going on at the same time. Progress being made on all fronts.
On Thursday I went to see a townhouse and five minutes after I left the place I just knew I wanted it. So Friday morning I wrote a check and signed a reservation contract. It is new construction so this week I will go to the showroom and pick out my flooring, counters, fixtures and whatnot. I am really excited and I think it will be a nice place for Keegan and I. The best part is that it is five minutes from work. It will be nice to get rid of my 45 minute commute each morning and night.
Tom and I are working on getting our house on the market. We have to finish up all those little tasks that plague homeowners until you are forced to complete them. Hopefully we can get the house listed by the end of next weekend.
In my spare time, (ha!) I am going through the divorce paperwork. It is all pretty straightforward. In a way I am glad it is a process or else it would feel hollow. Getting a divorce should be something that takes atleast some work so you appreciate the enormity of the event. I could definitely do without the fiancial affidavit. Who cares how much I spend on pet supplies and magazine subscriptions? Annoying.
May I share with you:
There is a bill before the New Hampshire legislature right now dealing with decriminalizing marijuana. It is sponsored by a guy named "Weed."
No kidding, I couldn't make this stuff up.

Awww, you're moving away! :( I am glad though that you found a place that suits you and are excited about it. A whole new adventure!
Glad you found a place you really like. And it will be nice to pick out everything yourself.
That's cool that you have someplace new to live and to pick out the design; a fresh beginning. I used to do divorce work and I don't remember a "financial affidavit" having to be drawn up; its funny how different each state is.
A new (and BRAND-new) townhouse -- oh, that is so exciting. I hope all the paperwork for everything goes smoothly. Such a lot you've been up to... I hope you've been able to get a few moments to yourself in here and there.
That's cool to be the first one living in the place! I'm glad it's alot closer to work for you!
