Keegan is doing amazing since his surgery. He seems to be enjoying all the new sounds and has been in a great mood. The verbal skills haven't improved noticeably but I understamd that it will take time. His walking has been dramatic. I can't believe the change in the past three days. He has all the strength and physical skills I guess his balance was a little wonky. In the past few weeks he has gotten into a better evening routine. The plan is to start his sleep training this weekend and that will get him into his crib. He wakes around 6:45 on the weekends. It is so painful to be up that early on a Sat. Ask anyone who knows me and they will assert that I am not a morning person. I must admit it is kind of nice to have all that time to get ready at a leisurely pace. I have started getting up earlier during the week because I need extra time to make sure the house is in order before we're gone for the day. How sad is it that I am looking forward to an upcoming trip because I might get extra sleep? I know, I know, welcome to parenthood.
PS I think I have decided on a new url and blog name. It's a secret for now, much like when Keegan was on the way. You'll have to wait until it is "born."

That's great to hear that he is improving at a fast pace! Can't wait to see the new blog! I'm getting a new layout soon too but same url.
Yay, Keegan! That surgery can make such a huge difference (not that that makes having your poor baby in the operating room any easier). I hope he's back to 100% and beyond very soon.
Glad to hear Keegan is improving already! The verbal skills will take time, but he will get there. I know what you mean about the getting up early-Rachel's a super sleeper, but getting up at 6:30 on a day off is just wrong. She goes to bed between 8-9 and sleeps until 6-7 so we can't complain...but on a vacation day, 6:30 isn't right!
kids getting better, that´s alway good good news! :)
