DVR Bliss

My brother got us a Tivo for Christmas and I totally love it. Truth be told I had been begging him for one for months. Every phone conversation started and ended with "I could really use a Tivo." Bless him but that boy can take a hint.
Nevermind all the cool stuff that I had already planned on using it for, ie. taping ten pm shows so that I can go to bed early and taping stuff that conflicts with other shows. That beautiful machine also automatically records the previous thirty minutes of whatever you are watching live. This has been enormously helpful when I need to grab a bottle, change a diaper and or rub Keegan's back to get him to sleep in his crib. I can just rewind the show and not miss a beat. Loving it!
People should put Tivos on their baby registries. The first couple of months you are so delirious from sleep deprivation, you don't care what you are missing. But after some time you do try to get your life back.
