G-Duh

Okay I will admit it. I don't know what gmail is. Or rather I don't know what is new and great about it. Can someone help me out here? What is the difference? And more importantly, how will it improve my life?

I dunno yet. I've got it but keep forgetting to use it. I'll let you know if it makes my life better (I would like it to clean my house--that would make things a little better!) ;)

Hey Alisa!

great question, I wanna know what is so great about g-mail also, lol I see these invites or whatever but what makes it so different than any other web based email? hmmmmmmm

Well, probably the best thing about it is the space. You get 1 gig of space for free. I also really like the way it keeps my contacts and I generally like the interface. I guess it's not for everyone (what is?) but I like it a lot.

Ditto on the space. I also like the filing system (called "labels"). Since I've been using it, I haven't recieved any spam, unlike my Hotmail account.

Instead of storing an incoming message in your inbox, and then your reply seperately in the sent box, the interface combines the two into a 'conversation'
I like it because i don't have to search for what i said that provoked a certain response. also, instead of a folder filing system, you get labels. This is nice, because you can apply more than one label to a particular email.
