Just watched Spellbound off of my Ne*tflix. It was recommended by Angie. It sounds kind of dorky because it is about kids competing in the 1999 national spelling bee. But it was really interesting, especially the family dynamics behind the kids. Then again I am into that sort of thing. Also I was sort of into spelling bees when I was a kid. Never got that competitive. Now I swear those brain cells have been murdered.
Edited: How weird is it that I wrote this post and this year's spelling bee ended today? The winning word was "autochthonous." Good golly.
