Lazy Daze

I have one more day with Tom until he returns to work. Believe me he isn't thrilled either. We've mostly stayed home and played it pretty cool. He got tons of toys for Christmas so he has been busy playing with everything. At bedtime he plays with his g*ameboy advance. That thing is tiny! Tom wanted it to bring to the hospital with him. At this point I'm thinking anything that keeps him from passing out is a good thing.
Tom went snowboarding for the first time this season on Wed. He enjoyed himself but was pretty tired especially for New Year's Eve. We celebrated at Erika & Jay's newly painted house. I didn't think we'd be able to stay long but we made it to midnight. I drove home while Tom slept.
Yesterday we went to an afternoon movie, "Cold Mountain". We sat on the aisle so my frequent bathroom trips wouldn't bother anyone else. So of course I didn't end up going at all. I was warm in the theater and probably the only one who ordered a large cherry slushie. I reminded Tom that we should take advantage of going to the movies since we didn't know when we'd be able to come back. He is actually looking forward to his paternity leave in a few weeks. Despite the fact it won't be a vacation for either of us.

Happy New Year Everyone!

My husband DID bring his g*ameboy to the hospital... and played it during the early part of labor when I didn't need a whole lot of support. It's definitely not cool to play it while you're pushing the baby out, though, LOL.
