Sniffles

Good news is that I think I am over my cold. Bad news is that now Tom is sick. We picked up his freshly repaired Jeep and were supposed to clean the house tonight. I'm afraid his parents will be greeted by many a dust bunny when they arrive tomorrow. Atleast the guestroom and bathroom are ready. We'll just pretend the rest of the house doesn't exist.

Happy Hanukkah and Happy Winter Solstice!

Comments

i didn't know where else to put this comment, so i'll jusy say that i love your new design - it reminds me of the children's poem/song, "winken, blinken and nod."

winken and blinken and nod one night
sailed off in a wooden shoe
they sailed in a river of crystal light
and into a sea of dew

hey now where are you going and what do you seek?
the old moon asked the three we're goin' a-searchin' for herring fish
that lives in the beautiful sea
and nets of silver and gold have we
said winken, blinken and nod

well the old moon laughed and sang a song
as they rocked in the wooden shoe
and the wind that sped them on their way
rustled the waves of dew

the little stars were herring fish
that lived in the beautiful sea
sayin', cast your nets wherever you wish
never afeard are we!
and the old moon laughed and sing you a song
wynken, blynken, and nod

so all night long their nets they threw
to the stars in the twinkling foam
And down from the skies came the wooden shoe
and it brought the fishermen home

'twas such beautiful sight it seemed
as if it could not be
and some folks say 'twas a dream they'd dreamed
while sailing on the beautiful sea
but i will name you the fishermen three
winken, blinken and nod

now winken and blinken are two little eyes
and nod is a wee-one's head
and the wooden shoe that sails in the sky
is a little-one's trundle bed

so close your eyes as your father sings
of beautiful sights you'll see
and you will see all the wonderful things
as you rock in the misty sea

and the old moon laughed and sing you a song
winken, blinken, and nod
