Love That Snow

Blizzard, smizzard. That doesn't stop us from going to get our Christmas tree, or Winter Solstice tree for all my pagan friends. The wind & snow got progressively stronger as we headed to the tree farm. But that just added to the fun. I am so glad we tagged her earlier this season. No way I could have tromped all over looking. Also every tree looks good covered in snow.

Here she is in her natural environment.

Tom hauls her away to the car.

She is home resting in a bucket until we get the energy to move her upstairs. I'm guessing we won't get to the decorating until later this week. Now we have a fire in the woodstove and I am thinking we are in for the day. I never succumb to the shopping panic that seems to be the modus operandi during these storms. Geez people who doesn't have enough food for two days?

Pretty tree! We're going to cut our own this year too next week, but we didn't think about tagging it early. Next year!

We ventured out into the blizzard yesterday as well to chop down our tree at our local tree farm. No problem not to tag it, though! We never do -- I can't imagine going out twice! And we found a great tree right away. Fun!
